ACDelco was quite popular in NASCAR from the 1990s as Dale Earnhardt Jr., Steve Park, Kevin Harvick, Ron Hornaday and Johnny Sauter drove cars sponsored by them to great success.

ACDelco did come to Australia, in fact, the category was sponsored by ACDelco as the category was called the ACDelco Cup, some races were also sponsored by the company, and Ian Thomas had an ACDelco ride car, it was the #2.

Eagers Holden gave out a limited-edition series of awards with an ACDelco Chevrolet Monte Carlo model attached though it was the #3 of Dale Earnhardt Jr.

In the 2000’s, Ken James had a #4 ACDelco Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and it was seen for several years.
The car was previously the #01 Monte Carlo that Ken James had used in the Bob Jane era, it then went to Drew Kruck who raced it in V8 Stock Cars before Ken brought the car back.
Al Dobbin in 2011 posted just over a half dozen photos of the car giving people a good look at the car both inside and out.
The car reportedly ended up in Europe and its fate is currently unknown.

There is a ACDelco liveried Pontiac Monaro, the car was parked for many years before it made a triumphant return to the Adelaide Motorsport Festival and other events such as being at Calder Park in 2024.

The chassis of this Pontiac Monaro came from an ex-Jim Richards car, this revelation got attention as there were suggestions that one of the VT Commodores had that chassis.
ACDelco reappeared in the Australian Stock Car Championship in 2026 when Zentrix Racing started having them on the #19 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Daniel Stubbs and the #45 Dodge Challenger driven by Jeff Stubbs.
This new relationship has paid dividends as Daniel Stubbs won the first seven races of the season as of the time of writing this piece.
Jeff Stubbs in the #45 Dodge Challenger is usually found to be close to the #19 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with Jeff scoring second or third place finishes so far in 2026 keeping ACDelco up the pointy end of the field.
It would be interesting if the #4 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and #2 Pontiac Monaro liveries end up on a car in Stock Cars Australia either on the #19 or #45 or perhaps the #2 itself would be raced someday at place like Calder Park Raceway or do exhibition laps on the Thunderdome.
