Welcome to our preview of the second round of the 2026 Australian Stock Car Championship that is run by Stock Cars Australia.
This weekend’s action takes us to One Raceway; it was formerly known as Wakefield Park before it underwent some changes to be sound and racing friendly, joining the field are any AASA TT’s.
One Raceway is located at 4770 Braidwood Rd, Tirrannaville NSW 2580, the layout being used for the weekend is the ‘Wakefield Loop’.
Legend Cars, the Hankook Australian Drivers Championship (Hyper Racer X1) and Formula RX8 are also on the bill for the weekend so there is no shortage of action on track.
Spectators can attend the racing for free, registering your ticket can win you a ride in the Hyundai N Pace Car.
The good news is that the racing will be streamed, it is free to watch on this link so tune in from 1pm AEST on Saturday and 10am on Sunday.
Weather forecasts are for 11- or 12-degree days depending on your weather source, a bit of rain is possible in the early hours of Saturday morning, wind conditions are up to 25km on Saturday and light on Sunday.
Let’s take you through the field for this weekend.

Daniel Stubbs started the 2026 season in style by sweeping all the races at Sydney Motorsport Park, the #19 has been a contender for wins over the last two seasons and this weekend should be no exception.

Defending champion Jeff Stubbs is holding second place in the championship just 16 points behind the #19 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Jeff finished second, third and second in the season opener.
Zentrix Racing has been keeping everybody informed on the preparations of the cars and their travel from Victoria to New South Wales.

Third is the usually consistent Robert Marchese and his #84 Chevrolet Silverado, Robert is currently third in points just four points behind Jeff Stubbs after finishing fourth, fourth and third in the season opener.

Three points behind Robert is Mick Heppleston in the #304 Chevrolet Silverado in what shapes up to another classic OzTruck battle, Mick had finishes of sixth, fifth and fourth in the season opener.

Richard White had a mixed bag of an opening round in the #3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 but came away with a second and a third-place finish.
All is good for this coming round with Richard White Racing picking up sponsorship from Hewitt and Whitty Saddlery who does sell Wrangler apparel making it the perfect sponsorship for the tribute liveried car.

Richard Hodgson is back in the #142 Nissan Gizelle, Richard finished seventh, seventh and sixth in the season opener, viewers were intrigued by the battle he had with Sam Gibson in the three races of the season opener.

We last saw the #08 at 2025 finale at Calder Park, it is back at One Raceway with new owner Paul Chambers also serving as the driver of the two-time race winning Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

Barry Kelleher is back with the #31 Ford Mustang, the #31 is a very competitive car in the field so keep an eye out for it over the course of the weekend.

Jamey Hollier is in the #71 Ford Falcon for his first round of the season, it is the sole SCA AUSCAR in the field, but fear not as more are coming in the second half of this season.

Laurence Mckinnon is back in the #82 Ford Falcon; it is his first round back since One Raceway in August last year.

Dave Brien has become a regular in the #63 Holden Torana, this car has quite a bit of zip in it so watch it have fun with the #71 Ford Falcon and similar vehicles.

Brett Nord is in the #279, spectators and viewers for Round 1 would have seen Brett before as he was part of the AASA TT field with Stock Cars Australia in the season opener.
That is the preview for this round of the 2026 Australian Stock Car Championship season, whether you are driving, spectating or viewing we wish you all a safe and pleasant weekend.
