We usually like to stay on the Australian side of Stock Car events but as many people would get NASCAR news on their Facebook feeds thanks to the algorithm knowing what your reading and liking preferences are like, it is important to bring this up.

Thanks to SVG’s many Cup racing wins over the last two years, he is a target of AI or rage baiters who come up with ridiculous stories to suck in people and make money from their clicks and taps.
The latest one is that he is threatening to sue Danica Patrick, it is a very vague story, it claims SVG is suing Danica Patrick, but it doesn’t say what for which should make most readers suspicious.
How can a company be reportedly on the brink of bankruptcy before the suing starts?
The astounding thing is that so many people believe that stories like the above are true.

Here is another example of a fake story, once again it opens with a quote which seems to be good enough for the majority of those who read the story even though it is very poorly written.
This is how the world goes crazy these days, write a post about somebody who is trending, stick a made-up quote at the beginning, be very vague and then invite people in the comments to read more on a website that is likely very dodgy.
Look very closely at what you are seeing, if it is sensationalist, avoid it, if it written up strangely like a capital letter for each word in a quote, avoid it.
If you don’t hear the person saying it in an interview, it has likely never happened as NASCAR.com and other outlets would jump all over the story.
