We have an aim and we have had one for some time, save up our money and get an AUSCAR roller (or Sportsman).
Hopefully we can get one at around $5000, it would need a lot of tender loving care at that price, before COVID it could be done but now we’re not so certain, they aren’t in infinite supply, but we will continue to save up if it is not possible to get one cheap.

It would be nice to have a Stock Car like the one that we have envisioned and have shown you before but unless Keno becomes generous or scratchies paid off or something extremely remote happened like some viral attention, the odds of raising enough cash to buy one is small, it would take five or so years of minimal spending to get there.
All we have to do is change the design from a Thunderbird to a Falcon but due to low numbers of Fords, we’ll likely have to get a Holden Commodore.
Blue, White and Red are borrowed from Deniliquin High School, 21 is the birthdate of a late friend who absolutely loved cars and was an influence even though he preferred Holden over Ford.
Daytona Demon is the likely name of the car though Devilgate Drive, Suzi and Witchery have been proposed to be the car name, names from Suzi Quatro or Little River Band songs, tough choice but one will come to us.
Owning a car would be the ultimate buy in, backing Stock Cars Australia to the hilt, our moon shot, it is exciting just to think of the possibility of making it.
Us owning a race car, what a life development that would be, very few people in our lives would think that would be possible, it is so far left field that it would be in a car park of hopes and dreams.
Sometimes I think that it is not going to happen, spend the money on sports cards or Pokémon instead trying to ‘pull’ that special, valuable card, maybe get a good card that my brother does not have and wants or the local card shop really has to have it.
Friends have always kept the aim alive, prodding things forward, when things start to waver, they pull things back on track, they’re very optimistic, very steadfast in their belief that it can be done and we’re very grateful for that support, there are so many online temptations that can drain the bank in a flash, like a telescope, a nice pizza oven, laptops, cameras, shirt iron on maker, cup designer, 3D printer, NASCAR items and more.
Say we get the roller, what then? well we start putting the money away for all the important bits, the fabrication, the donor cars, the mechanicals, any little mishaps and then in late 2027 or up to mid 2028, we’ll be done.
Hopefully this doesn’t end up as one of those ‘all talk and no action’ things, life can end hopes in seconds but hopefully fate has good plans for us, and we get to the finish line.
That’s it, forward we go.
