Scott Nind finished in third place in the 2022 Australian Stock Car Championship standings driving the #16 Ford Mustang.
We take a look back at his journey in the 2022 championship season.
Round 1 at Sydney Motorsport Park
Race 1 – 4th
Fourth place to start the 2022 season.
Race 2 – 5th
Stephen Chilby wins two in a row and Scott dropped one spot on his Race 1 finish
Race 3 – 5th
Scott finishes fifth for the second time this season.
Round 2 at Wakefield Park
Race 1 – 2nd
Stephen Chilby bags his third and final win of the season as Scott finishes second.
Race 2 – 1st
Scott wins an Australian Stock Car Championship race for the first time.
Race 3 – DNF
Scott gets involved in a wreck late in the race and is unable to continue.
Race 4 – 7th
Scott’s car gets sufficiently repaired in time for Race 4 and finishes seventh in what could be the series last race at Wakefield Park.
Round 3 at Sydney Motorsport Park
Race 1 – 2nd
Brett Mitchell gets his first win of the 2022 and Scott picks up his second second of the year.
Race 2 – 1st
Scott wins his second race of the year.
Race 3 – 2nd
Scott finishes second to Brett Mitchell for the second time this year.

Race 4 – 1st
Scott wins Race 4 and moves ahead of Robert Marchese in the standings, Robert moves down to fourth spot in the championship.
Viewers of the AMRS coverage got to have a good look at the #16 as the camera was taken right around the car and viewers also got a good look inside it.
Round 4 – Winton
Race 1 – DNS
It came down to Scott Nind and Robert Marchese to battle to finish anywhere from second to fourth in the standings as Stephen Chilby and Danny Burgess were not at Winton.
Rain kept Scott and other Stock Cars off the track in Race 1 and Robert battled the elements to finish the race and collect valuable points.
Race 2 – 2nd
Weather conditions improved and Scott Nind was able to get out on the track and finished ahead of Robert to claw back some of the points he lost in Race 1.
Race 3 – 4th
Scott finished one spot behind Robert to lose a couple more valuable points to the #84 OzTruck.

Race 4 – 1st
Scott won the race by 4.1 seconds ahead of Brett Mitchell to record his third victory of the season.
Robert Marchese finished second in the standings by finishing twenty-one points ahead of Scott Nind (484 points to 463) showing that finishing every race is important especially when mother nature, mechanical issues or the low possibility of a crash can spring up and cause chaos.
