There are 28 days to go until Round 4 action starts at Calder Park, not long at all when you think about it, so many possibilities await us all, hopefully all under sunny skies, whatever happens, we’ll make a weekend out of it.
There’s still no entry list displayed on the Winton website, but you can enter the round, they’ll probably update that soon as we’re now under a month to go, we really need them to update because entries equal news posts which equals attention to the series.
Some good news is that it looks likely that ASCN will be at Calder Park, jury duty threatened to derail the plan to go but excusal to be SCA’s guest at the track was granted, now it is a matter of getting from Point A to B to C and so on and so forth.
We have news from AUSCAR #31, we all get a nice look at the Yella Terra Dash One Alloy cylinder heads that the car will have, they look really good.
The AUSCAR #31 page are up to 32 likes/follows, hopefully together we can all get this number up higher to support the future SCA AUSCAR team.

Research continues on the #3 Lumina, the search for a pink ride car or a race car has been frustrating as we never get any closer to our destination.
This last week has been spent tracing the Ron Goodman cars in particular the #05 Oldsmobile, the above is the ride car.

Along the way we found something cool, the #05 Ride of a Lifetime ride car was put together by John Sheppard Automotive which makes us wonder about the car’s earlier existence.
Back to the Ron Goodman #05 Oldsmobile, we looked at it as it is an Oldsmobile, it came from George Elliot and it was Fluro pink, we did find out the #05 Oldsmobile was a #55 Oldsmobile, but the story did not say if it was a Cutlass or a Delta 88.
The bottom line is that some cars did go from team to team or ride organisations and the passage of time, a lack of existing paperwork and fading memories of events make a perfect mix to make searches difficult.
Somebody out there must have photos of the ride cars that were used on the Thunderdome pre-1994/95, somebody unknowingly has what we seek, a picture speaks a thousand words, we’re just waiting for that moment, a car with mismatched rear windows and a mix of car at the front and back (Chevrolet and Oldsmobile respectively).
When things don’t look great, keep going, everything will be fine as long as you know what you’re doing.
Today we got the programme of Round 4 of the 1991/92 season in the mail, and a picture brought up the old question George Elliott or George Elliot? It is the latter but look closely at the NASTRAK ads from 1991/92 and you will notice that it says Elliott on his race suit.
Readers may be a little puzzled to see the #77 OzTruck as the link picture, the reason it is chosen is that that was the OzTruck driven once by Andrew Miedecke, the 2001 V8 Stock Cars champion and probably would have bagged the 2002 title had it not ended so soon.
Sorry that this edition is short; it has been a quiet week but hopefully next week there will be plenty to tell so stay tuned and see you all next week.
