Aussie Stock Car News started out as World of AUSCAR on December 26, 2015, after fans discussed getting information all in one place after it was tried and tried again.

This is a 100% fan made blog and there are only so many resources we can get our hands on so please be mindful of that.

We improved our stats every year from 2017 to 2019 and 2019 was a great year for us, we had brought some magazines that allowed us to scan and publish more pictures than in previous years plus we had gone through YouTube videos to screenshot cars to add more depth to the drivers lists.

2020 was an even better year as we broke our 2019 records and 2021 was slightly down compared to 2020 but we came back strong in 2022 to record our best figures of 4,030 site visits for the year.

2023 was our biggest year yet as we passed 5,000 site visits for the first time, something that didn’t think was possible back in 2015, we ended the year with 5,842 site visits.

In 2024 we had 11,573 site visits and that record was broken in 2025 for our fourth consecutive year of growth.

We have information on AUSCAR, Australian NASCAR (and all the names post US affiliation), Sportsman, Formula Falcon and V8 Stock Cars.

We also have news on Stock Cars Australia (the Australian Stock Car Championship) which is a different entity to the above yet is all about Stock Cars as the ASCC has a mix of Cup cars, AUSCAR’s, OzTrucks and GTA’s in the one field plus a Muscle Division class and they race several times a year in NSW and Victoria and they expanded into South Australia in 2025, they’ve even raced in Queensland.

  1. Great site! Interested in any technical detail you may have about the Sportmans Formula. What cars were permitted, what they could do to them, what safety features they had.
