Some cars did have names; this is actually helpful because say a team owner had five cars and offloaded one, you know which one was offloaded because of its name.

Divine – #01 Oldsmobile named after Divine Brown, the woman who was busted with Hugh Grant.

Rusty – #01 Monte Carlo named because it had surface rust when it came from the United States.

Dagwood – The #75 Neil Bonnett driven winner was named after a comic book.

Destiny – Reportedly the #23 or #24 Oldsmobile turned into the #2 Lumina driven by Ian Thomas, also claimed to have always been a Lumina.

History of the car is muddled as it was reportedly killed in a wreck and was given new clips and a Monte Carlo body despite Fastrack having a Lumina with the Destiny switch plate.

Intrepid – Oldsmobile driven by Ian Thomas, John Faulkner, Eddie Abelnica, Paul Stocker and Doug Moss.

Bubba – Brad Jones’ #8 Lumina (ex-Jeff Gordon)

Elroy – Brad Jones’ #8 Lumina (ex-Cope), Brad Jones’ first Stock Car.

George – Brad Jones’ ride car, it later became Kim Jane’s #27 ride car and after a few owners is now the #3 Chevrolet Lumina owned by Richard White, the origin of the car before them is unknown but it is suspected have been owned or driven by either George Elliot or Walter Giles perhaps both of them but no written proof from the time period has been found.

Charlie – ex-Chad Little Ford Thunderbird turned into Charlie O’Brien’s #15 before it became Gene Cook’s Ford #41 and was later driven by Mick Heppleston before being purchased by Phil Muffet, won at Calder Park Raceway in 2025.
