The SCA AUSCAR champion for 2025 was Jamey Hollier who drove the #71 Ford Falcon.

The #71 may confuse people as Jamey’s car is seen with 7 on it but that was from the days of Rodney Jane driving the car, changing it to #71 would likely wreck the historical look to the car.

Round 1 – Winton Motor Raceway

The start of the 2025 taken place at a very dry Winton Motor Raceway, Jamey was the sixth fastest in practice with a time of 1:40.2427 and was the fastest SCA AUSCAR in the field.

Qualifying resulted in being sixth fastest with a time of 1:41.4083, again the lead SCA AUSCAR in the field

Race 1 was a late retirement for the #71 Ford Falcon as it retired eight laps into the race; Brad Lighton was the lead SCA AUSCAR driver by finishing in sixth place.

Race 2 saw the #71 back in action and it finished in seventh position; the car ran good with a best lap time of 1:41.9815, Brad Lighton was the lead SCA AUSCAR driver with a fifth place finish.

Race 4 was a Troy Perichon vs. Jamey Hollier battle, the two putting on a show for the spectators before the #6 Ford Falcon taken the win by a narrow margin.

Round 2 – The Bend

Round 2 was Stock Cars Australia’s first trip to South Australia, the #71 was the only SCA AUSCAR to race after a mechanical failure sidelined the #22 Holden Commodore after Practice but Jamey had good company as Michael Rice ran his VT Commodore in Muscle Division and the #108 was always battling with the SCA AUSCAR field.

The #71 Ford Falcon qualified ninth with a time of 1:38.5956.

Race 1 saw Jack Perkins take the overall win on his debut and Jamey finished seventh with a best lap time of 1:38.1318.

Round 3 – Sydney Motorsport Park

Round 3 was a non-championship round and the #71 did not attend the round.

Round 4 – One Raceway

Round 4 was at One Raceway, the place where you really got to make sure that your car’s sound is below the area’s limits.

A best lap of 1:14.3590 was good enough for Jamey to occupy eighth position on the grid in a thirteen-car field.

Jamey finished Race 1 with a seventh-place result, he was just under a second behind Brad Lighton in the lead SCA AUSCAR.

Race 2 saw Jamey finish twelfth as Colin Matton was the lead SCA AUSCAR with a seventh-place finish.

Round 5 – Calder Park Raceway

The season finale was at Calder Park Raceway, what a difference in scenery from the first race of season from brown grass to green, from sunny to wet.

Jamey had a best lap of 1:42.2728 during Saturday practice in wet conditions, the rain was rolling across the track like a mist that continuously went through the complex in waves.

Qualifying had Jamey putting the #71 in tenth position with a time of 1:37.4149, Brad Lighton was the best SCA qualifier in sixth.

Race 1 saw the field racing in awful conditions, the #71 stayed out of trouble and finished ninth, it had recorded a best lap of 1:37.9306.

Race 2 saw Jamey pick up another ninth-place finish with a best lap of 1:43.0589 in conditions that were worse than Race 1, Jamey’s best time was a lap of 1:43.0589.

Race 4 saw Jamey finishing in tenth position to wrap up the 2025 season.

When it came time for the presentation, it was big trophy time for Jamey as he was crowned SCA AUSCAR champion for 2025.
