Welcome to the final preview for the 2025 Australian Stock Car Championship season.
For the first time, the season ends at Calder Park Raceway, the home of Australian Stock Car racing.
Admission for the round is free for spectators to attend so if you are near Calder Park and you want to see a race, then going on November 8 and 9, 2025 is a great time to do so.
There will be four races, two on Saturday and two on Sunday, two races will be of ten laps and two will be eight laps making it a total of 36 laps across the weekend.

Daniel Stubbs in the #19 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Jeff Stubbs in the #45 Dodge Challenger are competing for the big championship.
When it comes to who has finished a race first, Winton was 3-0 to Jeff (Race 4 was non points), The Bend was 4-0 to Daniel, the round at Sydney Motorsport Park was a non-championship round and it was two races apiece at One Raceway giving Daniel a 6-5 advantage going into Calder Park Raceway.

Richard White is back in the #8 Chevrolet Monte Carlo after driving the #3 Lumina at One Raceway due to a mechanical issue with the ex-Joe Bessey car.
The #8 Monte Carlo could be a good challenger for the Stubbs duo, Richard did win a race in damp conditions at the track last year and he has mixed it with the #19 and #45 several times in the past.

The #3 for this round is being driven for the first time by Sam Gibson, Sam has had international experience driving in the Fun Cup in the UK and has raced at Calder Park Raceway in the highly competitive Hyundai Excel series.

Another Classic Cup car in the field is the #41 Ford Thunderbird driven by Phil Muffet, lots of work has been put into the Thunderbird this season and it is expected that the work put into the car this year will result in Phil having a strong 2026 season which is a win for the category.

Robert Marchese and Mick Heppleston will in action in their OzTrucks, Robert has been his reliable self on the track this year and Mick has racked up a lot of kilometres since switching permanently to the OzTruck after spending some years driving the #41 Ford Thunderbird.

SCA AUSCAR is well represented with Colin Matton, Jamey Hollier, Brad Lighton, Troy Perichon and Lukas Gates all entered into the race.
SCA AUSCAR is highly competitive, it is highly likely that we will not see one car and driver dominate all four races as the lead of a race and the class winner changes regularly.
Weather Forecast
Forecasts for the weekend have changed hourly, it appears that Saturday will be a very wet and a very cold day with maximum temperatures as low as 12 degrees, not counting wind chill.
Everybody is hoping that Sunday will have no rain and the Thunderdome is dry at lunch time to enable the exhibition to go ahead.
Take a jacket, an umbrella and a towel to wipe any wet seats with as the Calder Park seats after rain do have a plentiful supply of water where your behind will be parked.
It is hard to believe that the season is ending on Sunday, it doesn’t feel like we’ve been through ten months and a week of the eleventh but here we are in the beginnings of the Christmas advertising bombardment.
Thank you for being here as we previewed every round of the 2025 season, stay tuned for the recap of the round.
