After attracting plenty of attention following a call for expressions of interest, Richard White Racing has selected a driver to drive the #3 Chevrolet Lumina for the round at Calder Park Raceway.
The driver of the #3 Lumina is Sam Gibson, Sam has competed in Fun Cup competition in the UK, driving for Team Pacific at Brands Hatch and Donington Park, check out Sam in the above Instagram video as he, in the white car picks up two positions.
Sam finished fifth in his first Fun Cup race in the #257 Team Pacific car in April 2025 at Brands Hatch.
Sam’s recent Fun Cup race which was at Donington had Sam and his co-driver Liam O’Donnell finishing in seventh place in a race that had varying track conditions over the four-hours that the race had run.
The duo gained seven positions in the last hour of racing and were even further back than fourteenth earlier in the race.
Locally, Sam has raced an Excel at Calder Park, Sandown and Philip Island and had logged laps in his Fun Cup EVO 2 at Challenge Bathurst in 2024 as you will see above.
Come see Sam and everybody in Stock Cars Australia in action at Calder Park Raceway on November 7 to November 9, Friday Practice is Free, The weekend is $30, Saturday is $15 and Sunday is $20.
Tickets can be purchased online for those who like the ease of online purchasing and remember that weather permitting, exhibition laps are happening on the Thunderdome on the Sunday.
