After getting the hang of downloading and adding tracks to NASCAR Racing 2003, I went on a downloading spree to sample all the Australian tracks on offer.

There are so many choices and I ended up picking tracks like Mallala, Winton, Sydney Motorsport Park, Oran Park, Calder Park and more.

I definitely needed to have Bathurst and so the track was quickly added, the race starts with the field somewhere around the chase and so my car was starting to go backwards before the starting command.

My #23 Oldsmobile went for a gentle roll after being spun and ending up in the wall, surprisingly my car was not out of the race.

Having played Calder Park Raceway on Assetto Corsa, it was good that there was a version for NASCAR Racing 2003, you can download both the road course and the road course/oval combination which was really cool.

Sydney Motorsport Park was tried out, and it went pretty well, must give it a good run later on to see what sort of race we can make of it.

Calder Park was fun to run on; you get a different perspective as a gamer after going to a track live, the realism just increases for those who have a great imagination.

Mallala is a great track; the only problem is the computer cars don’t have the ability to go on the track and crawl along the track, I got a black flag once when the cars I was gridded up beside did not go on the green and I had to pass them to avoid being wadded up.

I tried the old Wakefield Park layout, but the track did not get out of the beta stages as the start/finish line is in the middle of the circuit but otherwise it is a fun track to run on.

Now from the comfort of my own home, I can have my own Stock Cars Australia season (minus One Raceway) or run a V8 Stock Cars season as there is Mallala, Oran Park, Winton, Queensland Raceway and Calder Park available.

NASCAR 25 is out now, and it is a question of whether to buy now or get it at Christmas or Boxing Day, scarily it is digital only which is sad because once a digital shop game is gone, it is gone.
