Here is a compilation of websites that carried news of Jack Perkins going to join the Xfinity Series in Portland and then it was announced that his debut would actually happen at Chicago.

To some, it looked like Jack Perkins was just scratching a Stock Car itch when he joined the Australian Stock Car Championship run by Stock Cars Australia at The Bend, but very few people would have looked closer and known about his earlier Winton test and who was watching him doing it (Marcos Ambrose).

Jack gets Chicago race
On June 27, 2025, it was announced that Jack would get an early Xfinity debut when he was selected to race at Chicago in July 2025 and then do the Portland race in August 2025.
