36 days to go until Round 2 action kicks off at The Bend, 35 if you’re counting the optional practice day.
Entries can be put in by going here and we look forward to announcing the entries as they come in, assuming we get the entry list on the VMRC website.
Don’t forget all the action will be on Blend Line TV‘s subscription service, it costs $8 a month or $87 for the year.

One driver who will be at The Bend is Richard White, he’ll be taking the #8 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, plans for the #3 Lumina have not been decided at this time.
Available for paying subscribers of the Apex Hunters United’s Patreon account is the film ‘Behind The Scenes: Two Nascars, One Shunt And A Motorsport Festival‘ which tells the story of their adventures at Adelaide Motorsport Festival, wall and all.
Cole Davis had his birthday yesterday, Cole is the owner/driver of the #38 Ford Falcon AUSCAR, may this new trip around the sun be a great one for him.
Speaking of a birthday, Charlie O’Brien had his birthday on the 26th, Charlie won two Stock Car races on the Gold Coast and one at Adelaide International Raceway.
Some may wonder what Gene Cook’s former car which is now owned by Mick Heppleston is doing in the post, it was previously one of the cars that Charlie drove, and during the Gene Cook era, it was named Charlie.
Now for the latest on car research, which may sound like a broken record but somebody new may read this and may have the answers, we can only hope.

Somebody has to know where this car came from, this one Oldsmobile named ‘Intrepid’ was purchased in the USA, reconditioned by Doug Taylor, numbered #14 for ARCA rounds and comes home to Tropic Coast Racing before the 1992/93 season starts and is immediately used.
It is said that the car came from a top Winston Cup team and in 1992 there was only a small selection of teams that used an Olds, they were going out of style quicker than Disco music.
Was it Hagan Racing? Precision Products Racing? Tri-Star? Leo Jackson Motorsports? RahMoc Enterprises? Moroso? Barkdoll Racing? B&B Racing? Close Racing? Collins Racing? KT Motorsports? Those are all 1992 teams that used Oldsmobile cars.
We’re so close to telling the complete story of this car, we just need that one little piece of information, the start, to finish it.

We’re still looking for somebody, anybody who knows what the car was that George Elliot is believed to have given to Brad Jones to serve as the ride car ‘George’ (after George Jetson), this was before the 1994/95 season.
Some interesting notes about this car is that the right 3/4 window is a triangle, the body is mostly Oldsmobile including rear bumper, front bumper is Lumina, but paintwork suggests it is younger than the rest of the body.
That’s it for this week, a good week in the Stock Car world.
See you next week.
