It was a successful weekend for Richard White Racing and Stock Cars Australia at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

Visitors who may not have heard of Stock Cars Australia before Adelaide would have known all about it by grabbing one of the posters on offer and talking to Zac and Richard.
Originally a three-driver effort (Richard White, Zac O’Hara and Elliot Barbour), Scott Pye accepted the opportunity to split track time with Richard which had benefits considering it was a hot Autumn weekend.

Plans for the weekend almost went out the window on Friday as Scott had only half secured the steering wheel when he had a go that day, and it came off a few laps later putting the #8 Monte Carlo into the wall, Scott was fine, and we thought we’d not mention the mishap on Friday, but others weren’t so hesitant to spill the beans.
Fortunately for RWR, Richard brought his crew members to Adelaide, and they got the #8 back into shape and the rest of the weekend went well for the drivers and the ex-Joe Bessey owned car.

The #3 Lumina (the mysterious and sometimes annoying ‘George’) was driven by Zac O’Hara and Elliot Barbour and both had trouble free runs with Elliot taking it up to Scott in a #3 vs. #8 battle.
Zac said ‘#3 handled quite well and was the first rear steer car I’ve driven‘, Zac has previously driven the #27 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and the #41 Ford Thunderbird in Stock Cars Australia.

There was a change on Sunday as Tim Slade got behind the wheel of the #3 Lumina before the second NASCAR session to cut laps with the #9 Ford Fusion.
The #3 was parked for the second NASCAR session as it would have been its third run in a short time span on a hot day that pushed car temperatures.
15:15 into the above video will take you to seeing the cars in action plus the other seven Stock Car family vehicles including a Truck, the ex-Trevor Oliver Lumina, the ex-Marcos Ambrose Ford Fusion and more.
1:05 into this video by Repco and you’ll see the #3 and the #8 in action as well as the other Stock Cars.
RWR weren’t the only Stock Car team at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival, and we’ll be giving them their own section shortly so you will have the best possible report.
With nine Stock Car family vehicles at Adelaide and nine at Winton, Stock Car fans were winners on March 8 and 9, 2025 and hopefully we’ll see some of those Adelaide cars at an SCA round soon.
