21 days to go until the 2025 season kicks off at Winton, that’s right three weeks to go until the action starts.

The VMRC entry list hasn’t updated for a couple of days, so we don’t have any entry news to report but when it is updated, you’ll know all about it.

A reminder to readers to consider giving ‘22 AUSCAR‘ and ‘AUSCAR #31‘ a like/follow to keep up to date on their latest news and information, their growth will be beneficial to the sport.

Paul Zemunik taken his #8 Monte Carlo out for a spin with John Zappia at Collie Motorplex, if you look closely at this video, you will see that the #88 driven by Stephen Dale is right beside the #8.

But it was not the only Stock Car family vehicle out there as the #3 Truck driven by Josh Dale was there too as you can see in these pictures.

Those going to Adelaide Motorsport Festival on March 8 and 9 will be seeing two Chevrolet SS cars, two Chevrolet Luminas, two Monte Carlos, the #2 Pontiac Monaro, a Ford Fusion and a Chevrolet Silverado.

They’ll be in action at 12:30pm and 2:30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Andrew Miedecke will be at Adelaide in Touring Car Legends, wonder if he’ll hop into one of the cars?

The entry list for Stock Cars has gotten the attention of fans, next to the ex-Marcos Ambrose RPM Ford Fusion entry is ‘Barry Graham’ which leads to the question, is the Barry Graham listed the NASTRAK USA co-creator and championship winning John Sidney Racing driver Barry Graham?

Zac O’Hara and Richard White will be driving the RWR cars at Adelaide and the action will look something like what you see in the video from MotorsportArchives.com except the Stock Cars will have the track to themselves for their sessions.

It is clear by the number of entries at Adelaide and the average number of entries for rounds in Stock Cars Australia that Stock Cars is healthy in Australia, and it is a great joy to be part of it all, it will continue to grow and the fun will continue on.

There’s a little more space at Richard White Racing thanks to Eddie Ivermee purchasing an Oldsmobile bonnet, some rear windows and some rims with some still having their V8 Stock Cars tyre on them, all the purchases are set to be used on the #46 Oldsmobile.

Elsewhere Eddie brought himself a gearbox, another important item is now crossed off the list.

Motorsport News article on the first Dick Howe Stock Car

What is left of the first Dick Howe Stock Car is going to a new home, this car is one of the ex-John Maultsaid Thunderbirds that got purchased by Richard before it was wrecked.

According to Waylon Jennings who is going to be picking it up soon “all that remains is from the firewall back, right side of cage between a and b pillars the cage has been cut out, part of the left side bodywork remains and all the cage from b pillars to the back.

Dick went on to purchase Terry Wyhoon’s first Thunderbird (the Tom Smith built car was his second car) and that car is now owned by Laurence Mckinnon.

Part of this week was spent helping Andrew Bear gather more details about his car, we spent hours looking at all the available reports on the late John Stepancic’s #41 Oldsmobile which later made way for the #41 Pontiac when it came to oval racing with the Olds taking on road course duties.

While newspapers and magazines wrote that John got Pole Position in the Oldsmobile at Adelaide, he is seen in the video of the race driving the Pontiac.

That’s why it is key to look at everything from pictures to video to newspaper clippings, so you get the full story and know exactly what had taken place.

We’ve updated ‘Vehicles for Sale‘ for you, there have been a couple of price drops which may entice potential buyers into having a go at buying the ex-Truck Series Ford or the ex-Tony Howlett Sportsman.

Don’t forget if you got a vehicle in the Stock Car family for sale, we’ll be happy to post it, it doesn’t matter if it is a complete car or a project car, it will be done for free and left up for as long as you like.

Lastly, consider posting your Stock Car goodies at ‘BRING NASCAR BACK TO AUSTRALIA‘ to give the group a nice mix of contributors as I am sure that people may be getting sick of me being almost the only poster there in recent weeks and there is still plenty more to show people.

That’s it for this week, a pretty interesting week as we get closer to Round 1 action at Winton and the Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

See you next week.
