There are 63 days to go until the 2025 season opener starts at Winton, so car owners you have just over two months to be ready for what we believe will be the biggest season yet in Stock Cars Australia history.
It is the twelfth year of Stock Cars Australia; they’ve come a long way since the beginning from barely getting enough for a run in the early years to people wanting to know if there is a car available for leasing in 2025.

We ended 2024 with the 1st Annual ASCN Awards, we hope you enjoyed it, and we look forward to doing it again on December 31, 2025, and it will be bigger too not Ben Hur big but bigger than before.
Last year ASCN recorded 11,115 hits on this website, that is an increase of 90% (5,273) on the total received in 2023, thank you to everyone who visited in 2024.
We’re now on Bluesky for those who need their ASCN fix on other social media platforms.

The #51 OzTruck has been sold, a routine search of my105 revealed a sold sticker on the ad, congratulations to the Hourigan family on making a sale, we’ll have more details for you as soon as the new owner pops up, they’ve got one of the best in the OzTruck fleet.
Don’t forget, drop a line anytime with the any news or information that you would like to be shared with everyone, for $0.00 per edition and social media post very few places can offer the same kind of deal.
Now we take you to the latest on car research

For years, it was believed that an ex-Jim Richards chassis was being used by one of the two VT Commodores that Fastrack had in use, it turns out that the #2 has that chassis (it was said the ex-Faulkner Olds not Eddie’s one was it).
Now the question is what chassis’ does the #1 and the #9 have, it is said that the Ian Thomas/Paul Stocker chassis is used by the #9 and that leaves the #1, Zac is on the case and hopefully he gets given the answer and then he’ll know large chunks of histories about all his cars.

We are still looking for somebody, anybody who photographed an Oldsmobile used by NASTRAK, anybody from NASTRAK who knows where the Oldsmobile’s used by NASTRAK came from and where they went are highly sought after so we can find out at last where the now #3 Lumina came from.

The above picture is believed to be a key for car identification and also notice how widespread the pink is, it has to be for sponsorship but whose? Ron Goodman’s team? Walter Giles? Slender You?
We’ve messaged any Slender You team members that we could find and asked if their cars were ever light pink on the inside, the light pink of the outside of the #31 Oldsmobile seems really close to the light pink inside the #3.
There’s so many possibilities and no proof to prove or disprove any of them, it is no fun at all but wouldn’t want to do anything else, it is like metal detecting, you can dig up a million pull rings and bottle caps but occasionally you will find $2.
That’s it for this first edition for 2025, always a joy to be here every Friday night.
See you next week.
