Mick Heppleston is back in action, but he isn’t in his Ford Thunderbird, he’ll be in a Chevrolet Silverado, that’s right Mick has joined the OzTruck ranks.

Laurence Mckinnon is entered for Calder Park, the #82 Ford XE Falcon is listed as the car of choice.

Ranald Maclurkin is going to be joining in the fun in a Corvette which will make things very interesting, the Corvette definitely lives up to Muscle Division.

The first ASCN T-Shirt arrived in the mail on Thursday, being 1.67m tall is a problem as that height is a centimetre or two too tall for small shirts and it is many centimetres too short for medium.

AUSCAR #31 has a new update, it looks like Friday’s is the day for new updates so Aussie Stock Car News will wait for it to come before publishing the news.

Richard White Racing has been busy these last few weeks, the #3 Lumina has a new gearbox in it and more as you’ll see in the latest RWR post.

We saw in car action from Richard White’s #8 Monte Carlo at Winton, now take a look at the action from Jeff Stubbs’ #45 Dodge on Jeff’s YouTube Channel.

You can also take a look at the action from Daniel Stubbs’ in car, nothing beats seeing the action from more than one perspective.

Walter Giles in action (Shayne Hunter collection)

The search for the origins of the #3 Lumina goes on, Tony Southwell believes 100% that the car is the Buick LeSabre that belonged to Walter Giles and the pink on the #3 appears to be very close to if not is the same pink as the above car.

So, what happened to the Buick LeSabre? We know it had a bad wreck; the front end was heavily damaged but what happened after that?

Hopefully somebody who worked in the Giles team at the time of the above picture has the answer, was it dumped? was it turned into a show car as believed? was it then given to George Elliot afterwards?

It doesn’t sound like Walter Giles had a lot of cars up his sleeve, when the Buick was crunched it sounded like it was almost curtains for the #91 team before his sponsor Du Pont came through and helped him get two more cars.

That’s all the action for this edition of Aussie Stock Car News, next week we’ll be one week away from Round 4, bags will start being packed and the fun soon begins.
