There are 42 days to go until the fourth round of the Australian Stock Car Championship hits Calder Park Raceway.

The Winton entry lists have been wiped off the website, entries are open for Calder Park and so any time now we will see the first entries up on the website, it is always an exciting time seeing the entries come in.

Also on the bill for Calder Park is the Australian Hyper Racer Championship, the 2 Litre Sports Sedans, the Victorian Super TT and the Vic Sports Cars.

Last week was a big week, the third round of the season was held at Winton Raceway, it contained a record SCA AUSCAR field, Richard White had an on-board camera and Race 4 had a reverse Top 8 start that really made things interesting and that was just a small sample of highlights.

Blend Line TV loves Stock Cars Australia so much that Race 3 and Race 4 have been put in the one video package and it has received over 2,000 views which is better than all but one of their last twelve videos.

Here’s an interesting fact for readers, Richard White’s #8 Monte Carlo recorded a lap time of 1:30.6317 on Lap 7 of the fourth race at Winton, Andrew Miedecke who crushed the competition in V8 Stock Cars in 2001 and 2002 managed a best time of 1:31.2853 in the three races held in 2001 in the #85 Monte Carlo.

Jake Frisch had a best lap of 1:33.0993 which would have put him right behind Mark Harrison’s Pontiac (now owned by Zac) in Race 3, but was faster than the cars driven by Richard Howe, Chris Templer and Barry Blake, all three cars are now owned by Laurence Mckinnon, Adam Blattman and Richard White and could all end up in Stock Cars Australia.

The speed from the Stock Cars, GTA (#19 Monte Carlo), the OzTrucks, the ex-TA2 with the Stock Car rear spoiler (#45 Dodge) is just as good as the V8 Stock Cars so people are getting late 90s, early 00’s pace and a great sound from SCA.

While this was all happening at Winton, ASCN broke its all-time record of site hits in a year and reached 6,000 hits for the first time, thank you to all who have visited this year.

Stock Cars Australia announced that the final round of the 2024 Australian Stock Car Championship will be held at One Raceway (Wakefield Park) on October 25 to 27.

Jamie Jordan has created a page dedicated to the news and stories of his #31 AUSCAR, consider liking the page to follow the journey of the ex-Speers AUSCAR that went from running in AUSCAR to being at Wakefield Park for rides to sitting in a paddock to finally being restored for competition.

Shayne Hunter continues to upload photos on to the NASCAR Australia AU group, the pictures are fantastic, and you should check them out as soon as possible.

The Ford parts that were on sale in the AUSCAR group appear to have been sold.

If you are looking to buy a Stock Car or an AUSCAR or even a GTA, contact Stock Cars Australia or post in the AUSCAR Racing group with you’re searching for, and somebody will be most happy to help you out.

That’s it for this week, see you next week as we celebrate 50 editions of Aussie Stock Car News.
