One week to go until the action starts at Queensland Raceway.

Apologies for the lack of news, it has been a quiet time in the Stock Car world and getting the latest entry list for the round has been a bit troublesome, usually the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series entry lists are updated quickly but this time, it is hardly moving though we know that entries do exist.

Anybody who sees the entry list would think that only Danny Burgess is coming up to Queensland, but the garage list has George Kulig, Brett Mitchell, Scott Nind and Robert Marchese on it, and it looks like Laurence Mckinnon is a few garages away and perhaps others are too.

We’ll have more on entries as the news comes to hand over the week.

The schedule for the weekend is out, Friday will have two practice sessions and qualifying, Practice 1 is at 7:50am, Practice 2 is at 10:55am and Qualifying is on at 2pm.

Saturday has Race 1 at the nice and early time of 8:50am and Race 2 is at 2:34pm, Race 2 will be on Fox and SBS.

Sunday has two races on; Race 3 will be on at 11am (it will be on the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series site), and Race 4 will be on at 2:48pm and that is on Fox and SBS.

A copy of the schedule for the round is here.

ASCN will keep everybody updated as usual, the reports of the races on Sunday will be a little different than usual as I will be watching Race 3 and 4 in person.

That’s the news for this week, this time next week we’ll have practice and qualifying in the history books and four races to come, it is always an exciting time, hopefully this is a start of regular visits to Queensland for Stock Cars Australia, financial times are rough right now, but we’ll get through it, humanity always does, and we’ll continue to grow.
