We have 26 days to go until Round 2 of the 2024 season gets underway at Queensland Raceway.

It will be interesting to see how many laps Stock Cars Australia gets per race at Queensland Raceway, the Morgan Park races had categories with 5 laps so hopefully we get 8-10 laps at Queensland Raceway but with 9 categories expected to be at QR, who knows.

There is one stop that has to be made along the way to QR and that is to see the mounted Canberra bomber which is on the corner of Coopers Road and the Cunningham Highway not far from the track, aircraft are beautiful machines just like a Stock Car or an OzTruck etc is.

The Hi-Tec Oils Super Series was at Morgan Park this week and those who follow Stock Cars Australia would know Laurence Mckinnon (Replica Tourers) and Brendon Hourigan and Josh Hourigan (Legend Cars Australia).

Laurence finished 11th, 8th, 14th and 17th in the four Replica Tourer Trophy Series races in the #82 Ford Falcon.

In the Legends Cars Australia races, Brendon Hourigan finished 4th, 4th, 3rd, 5th and 6th while Josh Hourigan finished 14th, DNF, 12th, DNS and DNS in the five races.

In Stock Car news, the #8 Monte Carlo continues to have us thinking as the back of the steering wheel has Bickle (Rich Bickle) and Car #43 written on it, we don’t know what Car #43 means though speculation is that it was Truck #43 as Rich drove the #43 Truck for Richard Petty in 1996.

Another suggestion is that Car #43 is something to do with Joe Bessey Motorsports numbers considering there is a chassis titled JBR-44, we’ll continue to look into it.

More facts have been added to ‘Did You Know?’, there is now enough facts there to keep people occupied for a couple of minutes.

While Lukas Gates on May 23 was showing the progress of the #26 AUSCAR in AUSCAR Racing, there was a comment made by Allan Clarke, owner of the #61 AUSCAR Commodore and Allan’s message said, ‘We will be there’ so that is good news, the more cars at any round, the better.

Sorry for the lack of news this week, it has been a quiet week but now that Morgan Park has been completed, we should see entries for QR coming up soon and the excitement will build as Round 2 comes closer to happening.
