From March 28, 1993, to December 2, 1995, it was more likely than not that the winner of a race at Calder Park Thunderdome was Max Dumesny.

Twelve races were held at the track during that time span and nine of the wins belonged the John Sidney Racing driver who had won the 1992/93 championship.

Max’s run started with a bang, four wins in a row on the Thunderdome to sweep the 1993 races at the track and win the 1992/93 championship along the way.

George Elliot won the February 13, 1994, race at the track before Max helped himself to another win, Barry Graham then snagged a win before Max picked up win number six.

Brad Jones won the race held on February 11, 1995, before Max picked up another three wins in a row to make it nine from twelve.

Max’s domination of the track ended with the December 2, 1995, win, Max would win no further Stock Car races from this time, but his nine wins would put him third on the all-time wins list behind Kim Jane and Jim Richards.
