One week to go until the 2024 season kicks off at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Mick Heppleston has entered the #41 Ford Thunderbird and Damian Sullivan has entered the #111 VN Commodore.

There is a change on the entry list, #82 Ford Falcon XE has been replaced by the #25 Ford Thunderbird, we’ll be checking up on that.

As it stands this Friday afternoon, there are 5 OzTrucks, 4 Stock Cars, 3 Muscle Division and 1 SCA AUSCAR entry for a total of thirteen.

The #7 AUSCAR was at Calder Park Raceway today, the car will be making its return to competition next week, its last appearance was at Calder Park Raceway last August, the short video (link above) has got plenty of attention with over 35 reactions.

Further research on Richard White’s #3 Lumina has come up with the conclusion that it is Frankenstein’s Monster, it has a Lumina front, an Oldsmobile roofline, deck lid and an Oldsmobile Cutlass rear bumper, the B Pillar looks Pontiac, and it has a Pontiac quarter window.

We are looking for any NASTRAK photos, particularly any photo showing the sides and the back of a Lumina, we’re hoping to see that Oldsmobile rear bumper and identify it as the car that is now the #3.

That’s the news this Friday, there may not be an edition next Friday as Round 1 action is on and so it will be replaced by a recap of the round the next day.
