49 days to go until the 2024 season starts at Sydney Motorsport Park, we’re getting closer and closer to the big day, let’s make the season opener a good one.

If you ever need to quickly remember the dates for this season, this calendar will solve all your troubles.

Anybody need Oldsmobile body parts? Richard White has a hood and a right rear window for sale for $300 (hood) and $200 (window) respectively.

Don’t forget that there is a Thunderdome track day on March 23, if you are interested then you better buy your spot, a reminder that wearing a helmet, a long sleeve shirt and pants are the minimum clothing requirements, but wearing a race suit is recommended.

This week ASCN did some work on the NASCAR in Australia page on Wikipedia, some new information has been added to the page, some information moved, and some information has been corrected though there is still a lot of work to be done, the structuring doesn’t seem right but how to make it flow is the big question.

The complications of tracking histories of cars continue on, though it appears that one of the SCA VT Commodores was built on a Jim Richards ex-Midgley Lumina Chassis, the one with the fibreglass body, unless they are wrong about it.

We released the story of the #3 Lumina last week and it was our 200th post, there is still some work to do on it, efforts continue to identify whose Pink was on the car before Brad Jones had it as a ride car, suggestions have been it is Steve Cosson or Walter Giles, it is light pink on the inside and bright pink on the outside.

That’s the news for this week, it is always fun to be here, and we hope you will be here next week for the next edition.
