There are 70 days to go until the season opener at Sydney Motorsport Park, it is good to have the weekly countdown back in operation.
This season will take Stock Cars Australia to Sydney Motorsport Park, Queensland Raceway, Winton Raceway, Calder Park and quite possibly One Raceway which was named Wakefield Park.
SMP is always action packed though the weather can be a little iffy at times, but fortune usually favours us when it comes to rainfall as it usually happens in the lunch breaks or before and after races.
There are a few OzTrucks in Queensland so hopefully they’ll decide to come and have a run or a display, new territories are always exciting for the category, last year we welcomed Calder Park to the fold and now we have Queensland Raceway.
Calder Park will have a good turnout this season, Winton is another favourite for Stock Car drivers and enthusiasm is high this year so good fields year around is a good possibility.
Expressions of Interest are still being sought for March 2 and March 23 runs at the Thunderdome, last reports had them about 10 cars short so if you’re interested in going, please express your interest in the provided link.
We have acquired some 300 photographs of AUSCAR, Sportsman and Formula Falcon action, some look to be doubles so they’ll be spread around in the future as it would be greedy to have doubles or even triples.
Two patches have also been acquired, one is for the Eastern Creek round of 1993 and the other is for the Oran Park round of 1994.
That’s it for this week, see you here next week with more news and information.
