1 more day to go before the action gets underway at Winton Raceway, it is going to be a hot weekend, more than double Calder Park’s temperature last week had Zac chose it over going to Winton.
It is going to be a packed schedule of action as Saturday starts at 9:25am and ends by 12:50pm and Sunday starts at 8:45am and ends by 10:50am.
Saturday – Practice is at 9:25am with Qualifying at 10:15am followed by Race 1 (8 laps) at 11:05am and Race 2 (10 laps) at 12:30pm.
Sunday – Warm up at 8:45am with Race 3 (8 laps) at 9:35am and Race 4 (10 laps) at 10:30am and that will wrap up the season.
Admission is free for spectators, it just the HQ’s and the Stock Cars in action both days with the days both ending at 2pm, early enough for most to be home by dinner or go check out the local area.
If all goes well with no cautions etc., 36 laps of Stock Car action (not counting Practice, Qualifying and Warmup) will take place over the weekend.
There is a bit of sadness when a season comes to an end, it is always an enjoyable experience writing about how things are going and seeing how things are going and the downtime always is a bit of a downer, but it is not all bad news.
Coming up will be a recap of the action from Winton, ASCN’s eighth birthday is on Boxing Day followed by a recap of the events of the year on NYE and then we hit the ground running in 2024 for the upcoming season.
Thank you for taking the time to read the latest going happenings in the Australian Stock Car world.
Fast Fact: Found out months after Calder Park that a picture of the jacket I was wearing there was on Facebook, I will not be pursuing a career in modelling.
