8 days to go until the final round of the season gets underway at Winton Raceway, there is still time for anybody who is not entering to decide to have a change of mind and comes along.

Michael Bouts is returning to the series in the Chevrolet Camaro so look out that beautifully presented machine, it had participated in two races at Calder Park earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Josh and Brendon Hourigan are this week at Calder Park for Round 6 of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series, they are participating in Legend Cars Australia in the #2 and #28.

The TA2 field got to have some fun on the Thunderdome this week, we can proudly say that we got to do it back in August when the Calder Park complex was reopened to competition (not the Thunderdome).

The Hi-Tec Oil Super Series will continue on SBS and SBS On Demand next season, Speedcafe reported that ‘For racing that falls outside the TV broadcast window, live coverage will continue through SBS’s On Demand streaming service.‘ which sounds like we’ll be seeing more Stock Cars Australia in the future.

Laurence Mckinnon and Robert Marchese hit the road last week, their destination was Bathurst to participate in Challenge Bathurst, Laurence in the XE Falcon had a best time of 2:42.2560 and Robert in the VB Commodore had a best time of 2:59.5280, their runs had rain, red flags and car issues so it was far from a straightforward weekend.
