There are 35 days to go until the action gets underway at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Scott Nind has joined Brett Mitchell on the entry list for the round, the #16 Ford Mustang has the entry number of #34 which is interesting, will have to stay on that and see what happens.

Former OzTruck driver Michael Coulter will be at the track as part of the TA2 Racing Muscle Car Series.

If you are entering the round, you must start the process from this linked location, there’s still plenty of time to decide as you got until midnight on October 10.

This morning was a great morning, we recorded our 4,031st site visit for the year and that means we have set a new yearly record, and it is only September, thank you to everyone who has stopped by this year, it is very much appreciated, the above picture is to celebrate as it is one of my favourite pictures, it had come out just right.

The latest from the AUSCAR group asks what a 308 engine is worth, this particular engine came from the #01 AUSCAR of Ken James and the #01 usually done quite well on the track back in the Thunderdome days.

Dick Howe’s #11 AUSCAR later became the #61 VN Commodore and now its current owner has popped up to tell some information about it, it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

Points totals are starting to get updated so we will have them posted up as soon as Stock Cars Australia has them done, we’ve updated the points for some drivers for you.

Now that I am back home, I can begin the proper process of going through all my pictures and the ones that Linda and David had taken and do something with them, a trial book was printed at Snapfish and the pictures turned out great so I will be making a proper one.

It is good to see others getting to experience the thrill of going around the Thunderdome like the people above, interestingly enough a man at The Depot in Deniliquin was telling me that he was at the Thunderdome in 1991 doing parade laps when he stayed out to do some much faster laps and had to get rounded up, the first half sounds very familiar to us (the faster laps after parade laps not the round up bit).

Thank you for taking the time to read the latest going happenings in the Australian Stock Car world.

Fast Fact: There were four Ford’s at Calder Park, the #16, #25 and #41 Stock Cars and the #7 AUSCAR.
