We are now 29 days away from racing taking place at Calder Park Raceway, posters are being made for the event and you can see one such example above, The 2023 Calder Classic is feeling more real by the day.

Richard White was at the track this morning to put his new car through its paces, Richard recently acquired the #75 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to be part of his Richard White Racing (RWR) stable of cars.

You may think that we’re pulling a prank on you but the car you see above was the #75 just a few days ago and it is now looking resplendent in #8 Budweiser colours, in a way it makes a lot of sense, Richard’s #3 is a Dale Earnhardt wrapped car so of course a Dale Earnhardt Jr wrapped car would be logical.

What you see on the car was made by Comp-Cal over in Denver and all that work was placed on the car by Scott Williams, the one responsible for so many Stock Cars in Australia looking the way that they do.

Meanwhile, it is official that NASCAR 21: Ignition is a video game best avoided, while running at Atlanta, I was put a lap down under caution despite not being lapped on the track costing me the win and the next race was a farce as multiple overtimes caused almost the entire field to pit on the restart giving me the win.

Thank you for taking the time to read the latest going happenings in the Australian Stock Car world.

Fast Fact: Lake Speed was a guest in the commentary box for the last Thunderdome race in 1999.
