Good Friday to you Readers

This is an extended edition of the Friday report that is posted on our FB page every Friday morning.

There are 72 days to go before the action gets underway at Calder Park Raceway and the excitement is building.

Troy Perichon, Lukas Gates (both AUSCAR) and Paul Hourigan (OzTruck) enjoyed a run around Calder Park today as part of one of the track days that is being held over there, it is believed that Paul Hourigan had the honour of being the first OzTruck to have a run at Calder Park.

Lukas Gates posted a video on AUSCAR Racing showing the #22 Holden Commodore in action around the circuit, it is good to see Lukas getting a run after mechanical issues deprived him of making his race debut with Stock Cars Australia last year.

Videos were also posted of Troy Perichon, Lukas Gates and Paul Hourigan going down the main straight in their vehicles, wear headphones to enjoy all of the above as it sounds beautiful.

Drive Events earlier in the week posted a video that gave people a taste of what is to come, work on the track is progressing at a good rate as the signage is updated, the sand trap around Turn 6 is extended, more earth is being moved (you can even see it happening in the video) too which you’ll also see in the Lukas Gates video.

The Thunderdome was used by Castrol for promotional purposes a few months ago and now you can watch the result above, it is always good to see the Thunderdome getting a workout no matter who it is and what they’re driving.

It has definitely not a dull week and the weeks are going to get more interesting at we close in on August.

We look forward to seeing you next week.
