New Thunderdome video

April 9 2020

While COVID-19 has turned the world upside down, there has been an upside for Australian Stock Car fans and that is that more pictures and videos have been posted for fans.

The above is one example, a 40 minute video made by Travis Nelson that features home video from 1996 to 1998 filled with action from Calder Park Thunderdome.

This video has it all, you will see cars being worked on in the garages, you will see pit stop practice, cars being towed in preparation for the races, nice close ups of the cars including when they are going through and emerging from the tunnel and you will see some racing action too.

There’s even pre-race stunt action in the infield which is pretty cool to see.

For those who wants to see how the Thunderdome looks in the present day, Travis has your needs covered with the video below, whilst most recent exploration videos have been taken from the stands, this video is from the track itself.

These are good times for Australian Stock Car fans and hopefully the interest will continue long after COVID-19 goes away.
